Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in PDF-Latex format (using the ACER-RECA template) or Microsoft Word document format.

If using Latex, please make sure all files needed to compile the PDF are included.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

ACER is published in an online-only format. Articles are published immediately after acceptation.

All manuscripts must be submitted using the ACER website. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere without the knowledge of the editors, and must not be sent for such consideration without prior notification to the editors. Any possible conflicts with this policy should be reported to the journal on submission.

Submission of a manuscript implies that it is based on research not previously published. All authors must be aware of and agree to the data presented and conclusions drawn in a manuscript. Submissions undergo single-blind peer review by two or more reviewers who determine the manuscript's suitability for publication. Because of the single-blind review, authors do not have to hide their identity in the manuscript.

Manuscripts should include the names of the authors. All supplementary material (including appendices) should be included in one MS Word document as the manuscript or in Latex format using the template provided on the website.

We encourage the authors to follow the ACER publication style guide to minimize delays in the preparation of the final version of an accepted manuscript.
